Nowadays, due to industrial life and increased motor vehicle
accidents, and due to other causes of ICU admissions,
we encountered more and more cases of prolonged
intubation complications. One of the most serious complications
is tracheal stenosis.
In this presentation, I will introduce a patient with Myer-
Cotton grade 3 tracheal stenosis, review the operation
technique of “tracheal resection and end-to-end anastomosis”
in our patient, and explain our new technique of
suturing: simple interrupted sutures without using multiple
hemostats.
